EXO Centre Officially OPEN!

Updated: Sep 4, 2025

On February 2nd 2023, the refurbished EXO Centre was also officially opened by Lincolnshire Agricultural Society Chairman, Andrew Buckley.

Members of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society along with donors who generously donated towards the renovations of the building, were welcomed to a drinks reception to see first-hand the new EXO Centre and the EXO donor board that has been installed in their honour.

Rosie Crust, Education Development manager, shared how the building has already hosted numerous school children for Farmhouse breakfast week and an Agri-Food careers event, as well as showcasing the new multi- purpose room in the EXO Centre with brand new AV equipment.

Although many had already visited the building as a vaccine centre, the official opening gave an opportunity to see the improvements and scope of the building for the first time.

The former exhibition hall has received a full refurbishment to create a contemporary and inclusive education and events facility for all. Construction began in 2019 to modernise the 1623 m2 space to create the first multifunctional and inclusive event space of its kind to Lincolnshire.

The existing framework of the building was utilised and completely renovated the entrance reception area, main hall, multi-functional educational space, satellite kitchen and toilet facilities. The multi-functional educational space includes new AV equipment including a touch screen whiteboard to facilitate an interactive visitor experience and the addition of a changing place facility creates an inclusive and versatile environment which is flexible for different event requirements.

Eco-friendly features include the installation of interior and exterior LED lighting, with the latter having movement detection and daylight shut off, thermal glazing, new insulation to increase U-value, and Cedar cladding to the exterior of the building.

The final details of the renovation are being installed outside with a landscaped area with views over the countryside space at the Showground.

Wow, reading about the EXO Centre’s transformation really impressed me. It’s inspiring to see such a historic space thoughtfully modernized to be both inclusive and versatile. I especially love the attention to interactive learning and eco-friendly features—it shows how careful planning can make a big difference for visitors. Personally, I always enjoy discovering innovative projects like this while exploring tools and communities that celebrate diversity and creativity. For instance, I recently spent time on a platform that lets you explore a range of personalities and experiences, like a https://lovescape.com/categories/transwoman Trans AI Character, which felt surprisingly engaging and unique.
