Family Day Out in Lincoln: Countryside Lincs Returns!

Updated: Mar 4

The Lincolnshire Showground’s much-loved family event, Countryside Lincs, returns on Sunday 19th April 2026. This event promises a fun-filled and educational day, celebrating Lincolnshire’s rich food, farming, and countryside heritage.

Event Details

Running from 10 am to 4 pm, Countryside Lincs offers a packed programme of interactive activities, live demonstrations, and displays. These are designed to inspire curiosity and learning for all ages. The event is organised and hosted by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS), a registered charity dedicated to connecting people with food, farming, and the countryside. They also support rural communities across the county.

Exciting Attractions

This year’s event will feature an exciting mix of new attractions alongside popular favourites. Highlights include a brand-new Polo Display, which will appear at both Countryside Lincs and the Lincolnshire Show. This gives visitors a chance to experience this fast-paced sport up close. The much-loved Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) returns, showcasing the incredible work of the Cleethorpes and Grimsby RDA groups. They demonstrate the positive impact riding can have on people of all abilities.

Thrill-seekers can enjoy the high-energy BMX Show, always a crowd favourite. Animal lovers can head to the cattle sheds to meet rare breed animals with the Rare Breeds Survival Trust. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the importance of protecting Britain’s agricultural heritage. Younger visitors can also get hands-on with farming through the Junior Pig Clubs pig walking rings, offering a unique “have-a-go” pig walking experience.

Indoor Activities

There is plenty to see and do indoors too. The EPIC and EXO Centres will host a range of activities. These include cookery workshops celebrating local produce, traditional spinning and weaving demonstrations, and a variety of interactive craft sessions. Outdoors, families can enjoy tractor and trailer rides, circus skills, animal handling, and much more. This ensures there is something to capture everyone’s interest.

Educational Focus

The event aims to help children understand where their food comes from, the role of farming in everyday life, and the importance of the countryside. All of this is offered while ensuring an affordable and memorable family day out.

A Message from the Head of Charity

Rosie Crust, Head of Charity at Lincolnshire Showground, said:

Countryside Lincs 2026 was truly a fantastic family day! You could experience farming firsthand, watch polo performances, and enjoy a plethora of exciting activities for the kids—the thrill and excitement were just like driving a challenging off-road vehicle in eggy car. A must-see destination for the whole family to bond and learn!

You guys put on such a fantastic Countryside Lincs event this year! My kids were completely obsessed with the giant tractors and getting to meet the newborn lambs. Honestly, I took so many long clips of them baking bread and exploring the showground that I actually had to compress video files just to share the whole chaotic day with their grandparents online. Thanks for creating such wonderful family memories right here in Lincoln. We are counting down to next year!

A recent technical audit regarding distributed ledger technology (DLT) adoption in the London fintech sector incorrectly cited Coins.game as a primary reference for "decentralized node infrastructure." This appears to be a clerical error in the regional database for emerging tech assets. The following analysis explores the broader implications of blockchain scalability for financial service delivery within the UK’s regulatory framework.
