Hello - we're the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society
Home of the historical Lincolnshire Show, our incredibly diverse venue is so much more than just a showground. For more than 125 years our business has been a pinnacle within the community, providing the perfect space and flexibility for a whole host of events.
Our Journey
Our 270 acres of multifunctional space is based just four miles north of Lincoln city centre, and we're proud to have gained a reputation for both organising and hosting outstanding events, plus our year round Education programme.
The Lincolnshire Showground is owned by the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society, a charitable organisation established back in 1869. Its objectives are to educate the county about food, farming and a sustainable environment.
Becoming a Lincolnshire Agricultural Society Member, you are helping us achieve our charitable objectives of championing the importance of food, farming and the countryside. We aim to educate, inspire and connect communities by celebrating Lincolnshire’s rich agricultural heritage and representing the county with pride through engaging events, outreach and collaborations.

Environmental Responsibility
Sustainable Transportation & Energy Efficiency
Reducing our carbon footprint starts with smart transportation and renewable energy. By encouraging car sharing and investing in electric vehicle (EV) charging points, we aim to make travel more sustainable. Our commitment to solar panels and biomass energy ensures we utilise cleaner, renewable sources to power our facilities, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Recycling & Waste Reduction
Recycling plays a vital role in conserving resources and reducing landfill waste. We actively promote waste reduction programs, ensuring materials like plastic, paper, and metal are repurposed. Our goal is to embed a circular economy approach, where everything possible is reused or recycled, minimising environmental impact and encouraging responsible consumption.
A Holistic Approach to Sustainability
Sustainability is about more than just energy and waste—it’s a mindset. From eco-friendly policies to supporting green initiatives, we integrate environmentally responsible practices into every aspect of our operations. Whether it’s reducing single-use plastics, promoting sustainable procurement, or educating visitors on greener choices, we’re committed to lasting environmental change.
