We are delighted to share the news that LJ Fairburn and Son has officially become a partner of the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society (LAS) for 2026 – a partnership built on shared values, deep local roots and a passion for championing British farming.

This collaboration marks more than sponsorship; it represents a joint commitment to investing in the future of agriculture across Lincolnshire.

About Our New Partner

With family farming roots in Alford dating back to 1951, LJ Fairburn & Son has Lincolnshire at the heart of everything they do. As a leading food supplier with their own farms across the county, they understand first-hand the responsibility of safeguarding the future of farming while supporting the rural communities that sustain it.

This new partnership reflects a strong alignment between our organisations – a shared commitment to promoting British farming, nurturing rural life and delivering meaningful agricultural education across Lincolnshire.

Why This Partnership Matters

For LJ Fairburn & Son, supporting the LAS is a natural fit. Having previously worked alongside the Society on initiatives and exhibiting at the Lincolnshire Show for the first time last year, strengthening the relationship was a logical next step.

As a Lincolnshire-based food producer, they recognise how vital it is to invest in educating and inspiring the next generation. Agriculture is more than an industry- it is a way of life, a source of local pride and a cornerstone of our county’s heritage.

This partnership provides a powerful platform to share that passion more widely while directly supporting local schools, families and rural communities.

What the Partnership Will Deliver

Through this partnership, LJ Fairburn & Son will play an important role in supporting and enhancing:

o   Educational events delivered throughout the year

o   Engagement opportunities for schools and young people

o   Activities and showcasing at the Lincolnshire Show

o   A strengthened year-round education programme focused on food, farming and the countryside.

Together, we will expand opportunities for young people to:

o   Learn where their food comes from

o   Understand the importance of sustainable farming

o   Explore the diverse careers available within agriculture and allied industries.

By working in partnership, we can deliver a truly impactful, year-round education programme that connects young people to the land, the food they eat and the people behind it.

A Word from LJ Fairburn & Son

“We are delighted to have partnered with the LAS, having worked with them on some of their fantastic initiatives in the past and also exhibited at our first Lincolnshire Show last year. We are incredibly excited to strengthen our partnership and assist in delivering the charity’s mission to educate and inspire our local communities.

Through this partnership, we are able to support the delivery of a year-round education programme to educate young people about food, farming and the countryside”.

Looking Ahead

This partnership is a strong example of what can be achieved when Lincolnshire organisations work together with a shared purpose. We are proud to recognise LJ Fairburn & Son as a valued partner and thank them for their commitment to supporting our charitable work.

We hope their involvement will inspire other organisations to come on board as sponsors and partners, helping us to continue to educate, inspire and champion agriculture across the county.

If your organisation shares our passion for farming, education and rural life, we would love to start a conversation about how we can work together. Please contact Rosie Crust, Head of Charity at rcrust@lincolnshireshowground.co.uk to find out more about partnership opportunities for 2026.
