Christmas Sack Appeal at the Food & Gift Fair 02 Nov

The Christmas Sack Appeal helps people who may be struggling financially to provide for themselves and/or their families this Christmas. We would like to help in a small way by collecting gifts or toys from visitors to the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair (27 & 28 November) and donating these to the appeal.

A Santa’s Sack will be on the Rotary of Lincoln’s stand where you can meet Father Christmas and donate your toy or gift. After the Food and Gift Fair, the toys will be dropped off at the Bridge Church Lincoln, they then arrange for families to come and choose items for themselves and their children on a week in December, we ask that the gifts are not wrapped so families can select gifts that are appropriate.

Suggested toy ideas

0-3 years: dolls, cot mobiles, bath toys, CD's of suitable music and nursery rhymes, puzzles.

3-5: dolls and action figures, toy cars, lorries, DVDs and CD's, colouring sets, pencils, crayons, books, puzzles

5-9: educational games & toys, stationery, CD's & family-friendly DVDs, books, puzzles, word search, crosswords

9-12: games and toys, stationery, DVDs, books, t-shirts, hair accessories, gloves, scarves, hats

We kindly request that gifts are brand new or good quality second hand.

Anyone wishing to make a donation and isn’t attending the Lincolnshire Food and Gift Fair can drop them off at the Lincolnshire Showground before 6th December.

Let’s make this Christmas a magical one for local families and individuals who are struggling this year.
