The story behind Mary's House Designs 17 Nov

Contributed by Angela, Mary's House Designs

Hello! My name is Angela and I'm the artist behind Mary's House Designs. I make sweet and colourful illustrated fine art prints and gifts inspired by nature, daydreaming and storytelling. I use an ordinary pen to draw, ink to paint and then I combine these with collage, as well as other materials to create all of my work - everything is taken from an original, hand-drawn illustration.

Lots of my inspiration comes from the Lincolnshire landscape that I live and grew up in. As a nature lover, I am also keen to make sure that the work I made is sustainable and eco-friendly, so recycled paper and biodegradable packaging are used as far as possible.

We have had some lovely comments about our work and Kirsty Allsopp, the handmade queen, even tweeted and emailed me to say how much she liked my mini bags!

I am exhibiting at the Lincolnshire Food & Gift Fair for the first time on 26 - 27 November and I'm really looking forward to getting into the Christmassy spirit. I have recently become a partner on Not on the High Street - only 5% of companies that apply are accepted! - so as well as having my own website you can also buy some of my products from there too.

I'm really looking forward to meeting everybody there!
