Breakfast is served at the Showground 20 Jan

Together with school children from different primary schools across Lincolnshire the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society will join the national 'Shake Up Your Wake Up' campaign to teach young people about the importance of a healthy breakfast and celebrate the county's finest produce.

For a whole week from Monday 23 January school children from White's Wood Academy, Ermine Primary Academy and Mablethorpe Primary Academy will take part in a fun-packed morning of activities at the Showground. Pupils will learn about the benefits of eating a healthy breakfast before fruity smoothie making, seed planting, sitting and exploring in a real tractor, 'meeting the farmer' and making porridge with the perfect toppings - all before tucking into their own breakfast!

Education and Development Officer, Rosie Crust, said: "This will be the third year that we have hosted our own celebration for Farmhouse Breakfast Week and we're excited to be welcoming back pupils from across Lincolnshire to join us.

"As the Lincolnshire Agricultural Society we know how important it is to engage and educate young people on food, farming and the countryside and we are always working hard to ensure the next generation understand the link between agriculture and food - that's why the campaign is something we are proud to be supporting fully."
