Develop a Robust Future for Business

Learning to be Safe Together Conference
"This Conference is aimed at Head Teachers and Senior Managers across Lincolnshire. It is being sponsored by the Government Office East Midlands and Lincolnshire County Council Children's Services. The focus for the day will be the launch of "Learning to be safe together." The Government's toolkit for schools to engage with the national Prevent Agenda.The day will comprise of a series of awareness raising workshops and the broader themes of Community Cohesion, School Improvement and safeguarding."

Lincolnshire Horse Trials
Set in the beautiful surrondings on the Lincolnshire Showground, this event regulary attracts 700 competitors, including some of the most respected and successful in the sport. With the addition of equestian trade stands, it makes for an entertaining day out for equestrian fans and those who simply enjoy a day in the countryside. Gates open 8.30am £5 per car

Lincolnshire Agricultural Society Spring Lecture
Entitled "Is Science the Key to Farming's Future?" our lectures always attract a large audience and induce debate on current affairs affecting the agricultural industry. This year's key note speaker is Professor Crute, Chief Scientist at the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) and Nick Ward, an arable farmer from Reepham, will also be elightening us on his recently completed Nuffield Farming scholarship looking at 'Arable input efficiency' in combineable crops. The Easter Chicken Fun Run
The Bailgate Rotary Club in Lincoln have organised a fun run on Easter Sunday 4 April in a bid to raise funds for St John Ambulance. St John volunteers in Lincoln are fundraising for a mobile first aid unit which costs £40,000 - and the Rotary Club are hoping to help boost funds with a family fun day. The sponsored 5Km road run and walk, named 'The Easter Chicken Fun Run', will be held on the Lincolnshire Showground (Tillbridge Lane entrance) from 11am on Sunday 4 April, and organisers are hoping to attract around 500 runners. Entries are £10 per person, or if you come in your own fancy dress (dressed as a chicken!) only £5 per person. For those not in fancy dress the £10 entry fee includes a bright yellow tshirt and hat. There is a prize draw for anyone raising more than £50 in sponsorship. St John Ambulance will work with the Rotary Club to provide first aid support and event stewarding and Badgers, Cadets and adult volunteers from St John will give first aid displays and display various craft work. Pheonix Stop Smoking Conference
Phoenix the NHS Stop Smoking Service for Lincolnshire is holding a conference to bring together Lincolnshire’s services from the public and private sectors, to learn how we can all benefit from smoking cessation. Various workshops will be held, tailored to the needs of all who attend to get the most out of this event. The financial challenges of the next few years will mean organisations will need to make sure they are efficient. Reducing short and long term sickness rates is an important part of this. Come along to the conference and meet the experts and find out more about what is available in the County to support smokers who want to quit.
