Responsible Drinking at the Lincolnshire Show
The Lincolnshire Agricultural Society warmly welcomes all Members and guests to the Lincolnshire Show.
The Show attracts visitors of all ages and works hard to uphold the four Licensing Objectives:
- The prevention of crime and disorder
- Public safety
- The prevention of public nuisance
- The protection of children from harm
In order to help us maintain our high standards at the Show and to ensure that everyone is able to enjoy their day out please follow the golden rules of Responsible Drinking:
- Respect the Over 25 rule applied at the bars on the Showground. If you are lucky enough to look under 25 years of age you will be asked to provide a valid proof of identity. Please don't be offended by this.
- Purchasing alcohol for anyone under the age of 18 is illegal.
- Giving alcoholic drinks to anyone under the age of 18 is illegal. This applies particularly to hospitality on stands.
- Anyone who appears to be intoxicated must not be served alcohol and may be asked to leave the Showground.
- It is illegal for children under 18 to knowingly consume alcohol.
Thank you. By following these rules you are helping to make the event a safer environment.
Please be aware that, as in previous years, Lincolnshire Police will be rigidly enforcing the licensing legislation and conducting test purchases at this year's Show.
