The sky's the limit! Show announces RAF100 theme as 2018 tickets go on sale 29 Mar

Among the hundreds of exhibitors, exciting performances and attractions will be an array of RAF themed activities and stands, including a Dakota flypast, a Spitfire flypast, a replica Red Arrow, mini tank driving for children and a special aviation themed treasure hunt trail.

With more highlights still to be announced, the two-day event, which takes place Wednesday 20 June and Thursday 21 June, will also be recognising 100 years since the end of World War I and celebrates the best of rural Lincolnshire with a mixture of entertainment, food, shopping, music and agriculture.

Jayne Southall, CEO of Lincolnshire Showground, said: “Aviation forms an important part of our great heritage, Lincolnshire is the home of the Red Arrows and at one stage was one of the leading aircraft production areas in the world.

“Our chosen charities for 2018 are the Jon Egging Trust and the RAF Charitable Trust too, so we’re really excited about this year’s theme and have even more acts and exhibition announcements to come – so watch this space!”

Aimed at all ages, the Lincolnshire Show will host a number of exciting animal displays, daring stunts and lively music in the main ring, as well as offering visitors the chance to explore cockpits, meet local aviation heritage centres and try Ferry Ales Brewery’s special Bastian Ale in the dedicated Aviation Zone.

Visitors will be able to satisfy their shopping habit by visiting more than 600 trade stands offering everything from clothes, jewellery and shoes to cars, lawnmowers and hot tubs as well as take home beautiful floral displays from the flower show.

For foodies, Lincolnshire producers will showcase the very best of their wares, with national and international specialities on offer as well as live cookery demonstrations from top local chefs and producers in The Lincolnshire Kitchen.

Jayne added: “From its humble beginnings 134 years ago, we’ve transformed the show into an exciting calendar highlight, while maintaining its agricultural roots and county show charm.

“We’re counting down the days and can’t wait for visitors to experience another action-packed show!”

Lincolnshire Show will take place on 20 and 21 June and will host an eclectic mix of entertainment, food, shopping, music, horticulture and agriculture.

Advanced tickets are £20 for adults, £17 for 17 to 22-year-olds, children are £6 and under-fives go free. Family tickets, admitting two adults and up to three children are priced at £42. Car parking is free on both days.
